It Must Be Too Late presents an experimental series of online exhibitions by Yuichiro Nakamura. Beginning on July 10, works created under Nakamura's various artistic pseudonyms will be loosely and intuitively distributed across Space 1, Space 2, and Space 3 on the It Must Be Too Late website. Rather than following a strict curatorial logic, the works are assigned in an intentionally casual manner, allowing each exhibition to gradually develop its own character through the accumulation of the selected works. The three exhibitions are titled The neighbor's dog is barking (Space 1), If you do not move (Space 2), and A natural expression (Space 3). Even the date on which the distribution of works will be considered complete has not been decided. That, too, is left deliberately open and somewhat arbitrary. Curated by Ayako Okonogi.

Eho Oke

Artist. Created by Selam Museum, a museum that is itself an artist, located in the fictional city of Gorgol. Oke's principal series consists of placing a white circle at the center of photographs taken with a smartphone, introducing an empty piece of information into each image.

Kokeko Sato

Text artist. Kokeko Sato creates abstract works composed of 5–7–5 character sequences modeled on the structure of haiku, while deliberately selecting hiragana that carry no particular semantic meaning. Selected exhibitions include Ayusayumi Shina Sono Nakosu Susanoyose, O CHA NO MA (organized by Curry Rice Gallery, Fukushima, 2025), and Cream Soda Museum, Curry Rice Gallery (online, 2026). Selected performances include Magic, Magic, Sunshine? Any Sneakers Can Fly, O CHA NO MA (Fukushima, 2024), and One Nayuta's Topknot Spoon, Senshu Park Otemon Moat Promenade (Akita, 2024).

Megumi Otsuka

Artist. Based on a concept she calls Color Poetics, Megumi Otsuka creates compositions in which color itself functions as poetry. Her practice spans a wide range of media, including graphic works, animation, and installation. Major exhibitions include Ayusayumi Shina Sono Nakosu Susanoyose (2025), O CHA NO MA (organized by Curry Rice Gallery, Fukushima), and Copy & Paste, Multiverse (2026), Mineral Water Gallery (Meta Metaverse).

Artist. Created by Surya, the currency used in the fictional city of Gorgol that is itself an artist. Sophiane Meziane creates a series of graphic works based on the regular 27-gon—a form that appears almost identical to a circle, yet is not one.

Artist. Created by Gie, a café in the fictional city of Gorgol that is itself an artist. Haddu Nur creates a series of works featuring two-colored geometric forms produced by folding double-sided origami paper only once. Aqan means “to fold” in the Ugaritic language.
